Guru Purnima is one of the most sacred festivals in Indian culture. It is a day to thank our teachers, mentors and spiritual gurus. This festival is observed on the full moon day in the Hindu month of Ashadha (June–July) and it goes far beyond the boundaries of religion and tradition. It is a deep call to celebrate and honor the eternal relationship between the teacher and the student.
On this sacred day, we will honor the gurus of this temple by sharing some of their teachings on the Guru principle and how to honor your own inner guru, during our Online Free Satsang and then have an in person Community Tea & Talk at our temple space in Douglasville, Ga., with sharing and open discussion for all who join.

For our in person offering, after the tea & talk portion, Aja Shah will offer a Homa Vidhi (fire ritual) in honor of her gurus. If you would like to participate in the homa, a minimum $35 donation is required. These donations help us to offer free events, maintain the temple and offer scholarships for programs.

These Satsangs (Online and In Person) Are Free & Open To The Public, however donations are greatly appreciated.

If you would like to volunteer for the in person offering, to help serve tea or donate fresh organic fruits or other healthy refreshments, we would greatly appreciate it. Please email us at goddesstempleoflove@gmail.com

We deeply look forward to being in community with you at the Temple!
